Villa C e P: interview with the architect

Villa C e P: interview with the architect | Emilceramica
Interview

07 gennaio 2026

Located in Latisana, Villa C e P represents a sophisticated balance of tradition and innovation. Created by architect Gianluca Pitaccolo of the Interior Garage firm in partnership with Ceramiche Più, the residence was the winner of the Inspiration category of the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025.

We interviewed the architect to learn more about his design philosophy and the way the Emilgroup collections were integrated and used in the project.

1. What was your design vision?

My design philosophy is multifaceted. It is mainly based on the aim of striking a balance between interior design and the needs of everyday life. Design must be a tool available to architect in which the functional aspect, combined with the elegance and harmony of the spaces, represents the cherry on the cake of the project.

2. How would you describe the project in three words?

Elegance, balance and style. Elegance for the neutral colours and shades that were chosen; balance because this neutrality makes it possible to maintain a sense of beauty that will remain timeless; and style because it is a concept that goes beyond fashions and trends, embodying an idea and a design philosophy that characterise a genre and an era.

3. What impressed you most about the Emilgroup products?

The choice of Emilgroup products stemmed from a specific request on the part of the client who wanted wood but not its delicacy. The Mimesis collection made it possible to satisfy this requirement, offering a resistant and durable material with a high-quality print and exceptional installation flexibility. This enabled us to create large and harmonious surfaces in line with both the aesthetic and practical demands of the client.

4. How valuable is this recognition for your work?

Every award is an incentive to try and develop new solutions and stand out from the pack when meeting the brief of the client. This acknowledgement at the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025 is confirmation that we are on the right path.
