Designed by architect Larisa Muresan, Issa Resort in Turda, in Romania, is a sophisticated five-star destination that combines nature, hospitality and architecture in an irresistible, seamless ambience. Its success in transforming every room into a unique, distinctive interior has won the project an honourable mention at the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025.

The resort’s philosophy is based on the idea of a location profoundly interconnected with the landscape: vineyards and hills provide the backdrop to a riding-school that forms the heart of the experience. Elegance, comfort and hospitality combine in a sophisticated equilibrium, giving every room a unique story in which nature and design dialogue in harmony.

Issa Resort: boundless elegance and wellbeing

The project for the reconstruction of the ventilated facades of the Calliope store in Jesi (Ancona), designed by architect Marco Cicognani for Store-lab s.r.l., received an honourable mention at the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025. The prize is in recognition of the project’s success in revealing all the ceramic products’ potential with a combination of technical complexity and carefully styled details.

The concept store comprises a solid form subdivided by patterns created with light, with the sloping wall and the inclusion of light fittings generating intriguing chiaroscuro contrasts. The resulting facade has strong visual impact and unites elegance and contemporary trends in an original, distinctive architectural language.

Calliope Store: ventilated facades combining tactile allure with technical complexity

Luca Building 831, a large residential and office complex in the Gangnam district in Seoul, was selected as a winner in the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025, receiving the prize in the Evolution category. The award celebrates the project’s fine interpretation of ceramics as a ductile material, able to shape spaces and redefine the languages of contemporary architecture.

The stars of the project are Level large slabs, in 160x320 cm size and 6.5 mm thickness, used to cover a total of 34,000 m² of facades. The pure, pristine White shade of the <a href="https://www.emilamerica.com/collections/tiles/level-level-tinta-unita/" target="_blank">Level Tinta Unita</a> slabs underlines the building’s monumental character and defines its contemporary identity with a blend of aesthetic innovation, excellent technical performance and visual lightness.

Luca Building 831: the new dimension of design

Petit Bois Füred, an elegant five-star hotel overlooking Lake Balaton in Hungary, was victorious in the Prestige category at the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025. The prize affirms the success of the project, the work of este’r partners and ARX Architect for Laki ZRT, in transforming a historic building into a unique design location, with a harmonious blend of beauty and glamour.

The project’s philosophy is based on intimacy, harmony with nature and a deep bond to the land. Every room alternates features inspired by the local tradition with a contemporary aesthetic language, with natural materials and exquisite textures making every stay an elegant, exciting experience.

Petit Bois Füred: an exclusive refuge where nature meets design

Located within the Van der Valk Hotel Houten, in the Netherlands, the New Mexico Suite won strong approval from the jury at the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025, winning the prize in the Creativity category. The project, by Cerriva, illustrated the Emilgroup products’ full potential with original, creative use of the different sizes, transforming the suite into an immersive experience with contemporary design.

Conceived as a destination in its own right within the hotel, the New Mexico Suite surrounds the guest in a warm, enticing ambience that evokes all the glamour of Mexico itself. The <a href="https://www.emilamerica.com/collections/tiles/emilceramica-forme/" target="_blank">Forme</a> collection by Emilceramica, with its inviting shades and refined finishes, gives the interiors a unique personality to ensure that every stay is a genuine sensory journey.

New Mexico Suite_Van der Valk Hotel

Villa C e P is an object lesson in refined elegance, where tradition and innovation meet in a perfect equilibrium. Created by architect Gianluca Pitaccolo of the Interior Garage firm in partnership with Ceramiche Più, the project was chosen as the winner in the Inspiration category of the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025 for its celebration of the original concept of the collections used.

Inspired by the villas of Italy’s Veneto region, reinterpreted for contemporary taste, the house stands at Latisana and has about 500 m² of floors and walls covered with the Emilgroup Mimesis and Mapierre collections, establishing a fluid dialogue between indoors and outdoors. 
The resulting interiors are light-filled and luxurious, with every feature harmonising with the architecture to convey an impression of balance, comfort, and understated, timeless elegance.
