Located in vibrant downtown Helsinki, the Fennia Block is a historic icon dating back to the C19th. Once a symbol of luxury and big events, thanks to meticulous renovation it is now once again a vibrant meeting-place for the city. The Fennia Block offers a wide range of services, including entertainment, restaurants, cafés and amenities to simplify daily life, not to mention the Finnkino cinema and Casino Helsinki.
The project for the renovation of the Fennia Block is the work of the Olla Architecture firm, which skilfully reinterpreted the location with a sophisticated, contemporary design style. The renovation’s basic aim was to create a place that would offer an immersive experience able to attract a heterogeneous clientele.

The choice of materials was fundamental in defining the mood. The floors of the renewed Food Court were covered with the Stone Talk by Ergon collection in Grey colour with Martellata finish, in 30x60 cm size. This surface, inspired by the natural beauty of stone, provides character and durability with a refined, timeless aesthetic. The choice for the wall coverings, on the other hand, was the Ego by Provenza collection, in Grigio colour, in the 20x120 cm and 60x120 cm sizes. This collection’s distinctive finish and exquisite design provide warmth and elegance, and integrate perfectly with the locations’ modern style.
