Designed by architect Larisa Muresan, Issa Resort in Turda, in Romania, is a sophisticated five-star destination that combines nature, hospitality and architecture in an irresistible, seamless ambience. Its success in transforming every room into a unique, distinctive interior has won the project an honourable mention at the Emilgroup Project Awards 2025.
The resort’s philosophy is based on the idea of a location profoundly interconnected with the landscape: vineyards and hills provide the backdrop to a riding-school that forms the heart of the experience. Elegance, comfort and hospitality combine in a sophisticated equilibrium, giving every room a unique story in which nature and design dialogue in harmony.
In this context, the Emilgroup collections provide the versatility needed to express the spaces’ many characters: in the foyer, the combination of the Emilceramica collections Mapierre and Tele di Marmo Revolution - Verde Saint Denis gives the welcome area personality and identity. Surfaces created with Unique Travertine by Provenza in Vein Cut Cream version define the spa area with contemporary elegance, while the spaces around the outdoor pool, covered with Oros Stone by Ergon in Grey shade, create locations with the perfect blend of prestige and authenticity.
In the suite bathrooms, various combinations of slabs in 12 mm thickness beautify the interiors with sophisticated use of contrasts. Level Marmi features in Zebrino, Macchia Vecchia and Moon Grey shades, alongside the Emilceramica collections Tele di Marmo Reloaded in Fossil Brown Malevic colour and Tele di Marmo Onyx in Onyx Blue. Together, these surfaces create exquisite, distinctive interiors, highlighting just the right balance of style and function.
